The Whole Sphere, not just the Blogosphere
This is definitely the hottest talk among bloggers and webmasters today. Big and small guys have their own opinion and are exchanging blows from different angles. Each one creates buzz to say what they believe and probably influence others to believe the same. The waves of ideas broke out when Jason Calacanis, one of those who made millions in blogosphere gave up his blogging career with a picture of misery and some regrets last July.
But until now, due to the effect of that particular scenario (I am sure that is not the only reason), the blogosphere is shattered into unstable state that gave way for some stones to be thrown for there to here and to anywhere. This is so encouraging for us, late bloomer bloggers. From saying that blogging is the thing of the past and twitter is way better up to actually saying that the blogosphere is near to its demise or is already dead, but of course, optimists rise up to defend the heights attained.
It’s hard for me to choose side because both parties have valid points. But there is one thing that is inevitable. It is change. It is as old as time. Everything is changing and will change as time goes by. We cannot stop it, no matter what. This is not only in the case of blogosphere, the world is changing fast and it drives people crazy.
We saw those people who are saying that blogosphere is dead. Blogging today is too big and too impersonal, they say. Others even break out stats while pointing out that blogging is deteriorating in quantity and quality. So in response, the other side of the bank, return some stones devaluating what the attackers is saying. But please, can’t we see it? This is happening in all aspects of the world not just the blogosphere.
I like the idea of Kevin from BloggingTips. He said, the blogosphere is not dying, it is evolving. He also pointed out, in defense to the stats being brought out, that it is the same case with websites, not just blogs. I say this whole idea of dying and evolving is a fact for the world.
Some say the word “impersonal.” Yes, things in the world is already impersonal since technology started to grow faster and faster. Maybe we can ask our grandparents for these things and we will understand. Most of us today don’t even know our neighbors. The fact is, we cannot really classify personal and impersonal in this age, we just establish relationships.
Why? Jason Calacanis admitted it. He said, “blogging is simply too big”. No, my friend. The world has gone too big.
People are saying, blogging is dying but look around you. Almost everything is deteriorating and going down.
So what now? Let us sing, “I will survive!”
Coping up is the way of life today. If the evolution in the marketplace, blogosphere, technology, relationship and systems of the world in inevitable, we go for survival of the fittest. Jason Calacanis and many others gave up blogging, but it doesn’t mean that blogging will not survive. I believe there are those who are fit to survive in blogging and will bring it to the next level.
But it doesn’t mean that those who gave up made mistake. I see it also as coping up for the bigger sphere. The blogosphere is just part of the bigger sphere in which we all belong. And that is the place in which we must all cope up and survive.
To end this mumbling that I have, it all falls down with your choice, your priority, your personality and what you believe. Taking this all into consideration, coping up in the bigger sphere will affect what we do in the blogosphere. And at the end of the day, we survive because we pushed and choose to be fit.

The only way blogging will die is if the Internet dies – and that is just not possible. If the entire Internet was taken offline and every server in every bedroom and corporate location destroyed – the world would go into complete chaos. This is the information age, and we breath information via mediums like the Internet. We need it to stay connected, to communicate, research, etc…
How can the documentation of personal thoughts die? that is all a blog is. There are and infinite amount of niche markets and subgroups for people to join and create a community. Every day new people are coming online and new “markets” are being born and for every saturated market there are 20 niche topics that are looking for a leader, and a place to commune.
It will never die!!!!

Got you from Kevin’s blog forum. I read his post about this dying of the blogosphere, and even left a comment there. No, I feel that blogging is not dying. In the Philippines, it is just being started…late again?
