Hottest Way to Moderate WP Comments
Replying and moderating comments of your different blogs from one single application seems convenient, especially if you have lots of comments and you got two or more blogs. These are some of the future developments that we are going to wait in this plugin by Daniel Dura, the Moderator.
Moderator is a Wordpress plugin, as of now, built using Adobe Air that allows you to moderate your Wordpress comments in real time. This means, you don’t need to login into your dashboard anymore just to accept, delete or to mark spam comments. In this early release you can:
- View unmoderated comments,
- See notifications of unmoderated comments in your system tray notifications of the number of unmoderated comments,
- Accept, delete, and spam comments from within the desktop client,
- Close application window, or minimize it to the system tray while running,
- See the Gravatar icons for the user who posted the comment.
The plugin requires Wordpress 2.6+ and Adobe Air. You can get Adobe Air here.
The process of installation is the same as usula way of installing your other plugins. Download the moderator plugin here. After activating the plugin, go to the settings page and follow the instructions in moderator page to install the desktop client.
The author promised more features in the coming updates of the plugin and this includes eliminating the need to install a plugin in wordpress. He plans to make it as a desktop client that controls all your WP comments. So give it a try and stay tune for more of its updates.
